Coming soon! RV life is exciting, but it can wear you out. When you stop for the night, your RV is hot from the drive. This ducted, low-profile AC brings the temperature down quickly and includes a heat pump to help take the chill off cold mornings.

Highlights

  • High-Capacity Cooling Output: 15,000 BTU capacity keeps the RV comfortable even in direct sun and high outdoor temperatures.
  • Variable-Speed Compressor Control: Adjusts output to match conditions and reduce temperature swings inside the RV.
  • Fast Air Movement Through Ducts: Dual fans move air through ducts and distribute cooling across the RV.
  • Integrated Heat Pump Function: Provides electric heat for cool mornings without relying on the furnace.
  • Low-Profile Rooftop Design: Low-profile design supports clearance under branches and structures and helps manage wind resistance during travel.
  • R32 Refrigerant Operation: Uses R32 refrigerant designed for efficient operation and reduced environmental impact.

Features to know about

Cools Your Heat-Soaked RV

When an RV builds up heat, weak airflow and slow cooldown are often what lead to replacing the rooftop unit. This system uses 15,000 BTU cooling and dual fans to move air through the ducts. Instead of struggling to push enough cool air, it delivers consistent airflow through the vents so the cabin temperature begins to drop as air circulates.

Adjusts Cooling Instead of Running at Full Output All the Time

Big temperature swings and constant cycling can make an RV feel uneven even when the AC is running. The variable-speed compressor senses conditions and adjusts output in real time instead of running at a fixed level. This allows the unit to maintain a consistent interior temperature throughout the day instead of constantly going from hot to cold.

Provides Electric Heat for Mild Weather

On cool mornings, running the furnace uses fuel when you only need a small increase in temperature. This rooftop unit includes an integrated heat pump that can handle those conditions without relying entirely on the furnace. That's a built-in function, not an add-on, and it gives this ducted system another mode beyond cooling. It lets you warm the RV in mild weather using the same rooftop unit.

Low-Profile Design That Helps Avoid Clearance Issues

Tall rooftop equipment can take up clearance space and add wind resistance while towing or driving. This low-profile design keeps overall roof height in check and helps avoid contact with branches or overhead structures when navigating tight spaces or pulling into covered areas.

Easy to install and connect the power in my Z2900. The unit is 10 decibels quieter than the HE factory installed model, even on turbo fan speed! I taped off half of the duct going to the bathroom. Plenty of air still getting to those vents. I had to put the TV on a movable wall mount. Very tight fit with the air distribution box.

Just installed in my Brinkley Z3100 bedroom. Way better better!!! Quiet and efficient. Can't wait to be able to run ac in the bedroom while on the inverter.

So quite, it’s a fantastic upgrade and it works with and without ducts.

I installed a Furrion Chill Cube in the living room of my camper last year. Night and day! So quiet and efficient. I have been patiently waiting for the low profile Furrion Chill w/heat pump to come to market to install in the bedroom. I grabbed one the minute I saw it available on etrailer.com. I installed it yesterday and am thrilled with the results. Just as quiet and efficient as the original Chill Cube.

  • Recommended 15k Furrion Chill Low-Profile AC w/ Heat Pump for a Ducted Setup
Welcome back David! I definitely concur with Duane! That was an interesting video. The Furrion Chill Low-Profile AC with Heat Pump item # FR39TQ in black and item # FR99TQ in white work in both ducted and ductless setups. The Air Distribution Box item # FR38BC is the correct one for the Furrion 15k Low Profile AC units. It works in both ducted and ductless set ups as well. This ADB has adjustable vents and controls built into the unit. It also includes a remote that will allow you to...

Hey Tammy. The Furrion Chill Low-Profile RV AC with Heat Pump item # FR99TQ is 9.96" tall. It's also 41.57" long by 29.1" wide and weighs 88 lbs. • Availability of Mounting Frame for Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile
Hey Bon! We do have all of the components you need for this setup, they're just listed under different part numbers than the Furrion numbers you're using. For the non-ducted 15K low-profile Chill Cube with heat pump, we have the white # FR99TQ or black # FR39TQ. You'll also need the low-profile Air Distribution Box # FR38BC, which includes the remote. The mounting frame you're looking for is the Mounting Frame for Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile Air Distribution Box # FR34FY. What kind...

  • Comparing 13.5K Furrion Chill Cube to 15K Low Profile Chill Cube RV AC
Hey Colin! The 15K low-profile Chill Cube isn't just a shorter version of the 13.5K. Both have variable-speed compressors, but the 15K gives you 1,500 Btu more cooling and includes a heat pump. That lets you use campground electricity for heat on cool mornings instead of always running your propane furnace. If 13,500 Btu already keeps your camper comfortable and you only need cooling, I would stick with the 13.5K. It is the less expensive option, and you're still getting the efficiency...

  • Adding a Low Profile Second Air Conditioner to a Fifth Wheel
Hey Jenna! I'd recommend the 15K Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC with Heat Pump. You can install it as a separate, non-ducted bedroom system without connecting it to your main AC's thermostat. The variable-speed compressor makes it a nice choice for sleeping since you won't have those abrupt full speed compressor starts throughout the night. Choose from the following based on color: -Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile RV AC with Heat Pump - 15K Btu - White # FR99TQ -Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile...

  • Does Furrion Chill Low Profile with Heat Pump Come with Air Box and Controller?
Hey Michael, you'd instead want the Furrion Chill Low Profile part # FR79TQ which comes with the needed install kit that includes the controller, air box, and thermostat. The part # FR99TQ that you referenced only includes the upper unit. Are you replacing a current AC unit?

Hey Evan! Yes, you can replace your single zone Dometic Penguin II setup with the 15K Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC with Heat Pump. Its variable speed compressor gives you quieter operation without the constant full speed starts and stops, and the heat pump lets you use campground electricity for heat on cool mornings. • Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC Noise Levels at 50%, 75%, and 100% Power
Hey Peter, welcome back! Lippert lists the Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC # FR89TQ at 43 to 60 decibels. However, they don't provide separate noise ratings for 50%, 75%, and 100% operation in a non-ducted setup. The 50% and 75% settings limit power consumption rather than setting a specific fan speed. Since the compressor adjusts its speed based on cooling demand, the actual noise level will vary even at the same power setting. For a non-ducted installation, you'll need to put the...

  • Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC Compatibility With KIB Multiplex System
Hey Kevin! Unfortunately, an adapter isn't available to connect the Furrion Chill Cube Low-Profile AC directly to your Newmar's KIB multiplex system. Furrion uses its own proprietary control system, so you'll need to operate the AC separately from your existing KIB controls. The good news is that the Chill Cube Low-Profile systems are available with a remote, so you can still control the AC from anywhere inside your motorhome without installing a separate wall thermostat. You can choose...
